Very disappointed with the customer service and lack of transparency with tiaa. Beyond unprofessional.
Their customer service is the worst.
I would steer clear of this company. Extremely unprofessional. I left voicemail and emails and 7 days later, still no contact. Very poor customer service.
I have been very disappointed in my experience with TIAA. Their investment strategies seemed to show a poor rate of return, they were difficult to work with, and somewhere along the line most of my retirement funds disappeared. Contrast that with Fidelity Investments who I was working with at the same time who were the exact opposite in every positive way. I will not be working with TIAA again.
I am a retired professor at the University of Utah, and a very long time participant in TIAA-CREF. The service from the local branch has been terrible. [My wife has a private financial adviser, and I experience what good service is!] I will give you two examples: Some number of years ago my service provider left the company, and I wasn't informed for god knows how long.
