The quality and consistency of the customer service from TIAA phone agents is ALL OVER the place and it is disappointing. In the last several months, I have talked to several phone agents and some do not ask all of the verification questions, some agents inquire why a cash withdrawal is needed (this can be uncomfortable for a caller going through a hardship), some agents do not mention that withdrawals can be deducted proportionately.
