Walked into a local branch this morning. Nice rate but always ask before I open up the account and They are one of the few remaining Banks that still require beneficiary SSN information and my beneficiary will not give out her SSN to any bank which I don't blame her. I have an account at another bank that does not require beneficiary SSN so for now I put my money in that existing account .They are slightly lower rate at 4.2 but it's good enough for now . Made a total mess of my mortgage when they offloaded the servicing of the account. Showed I paid off mortgage which surprisingly significantly lowers your credit score. Can't talk to TIAA because they insist you only deal with the new servicer. I wouldn't trust anyone this incompetent with a nickel of my money !!!!!!!!!!
This is a great bank for out of the box thinking!
Their customer service is atrocious. One star is too many. Bank and money market are both severely mismanaged .Hope its only Boca. They think nothing of keeping people on hold for over 40 minutes. when you ask for the manager they hang up on you. it takes forever for a person to make a simple $$ transfer. it's nothing like they promised. I am so taking my assets out of this nightmare of a bank
