I submitted a wire transfer this morning for funds that needed to go out and be delivered today, for which Everbank charges $25. After submitting the request, I assumed the matter was over. In the process of submitting the request I had to verify my identity by different methods 4 different times. There was no notice of any further review or hold up on the transfer after it was submitted. Wasted days on the phone with customer service just in attempt to set up a working account. Then made the mistake of transferring several grand after being told the issues would be resolved. Then NO JOKE, was told I am "suspicious" after calling yet again about ANOTHER issue. The woman told me I could not have an account with their bank. WHAT... now with my money in their hands I have to wait in hopes to get it back via mail.
Worst banking experience of my life. No wonder they try to bait you with high interest rates. Don't waste your time. If you want a high yield savings go with American Express. I've had them for years with zero customer service or website issues. The brief time I was with Everbank, that's all I seemed to have; issues with accessing my account online and the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!
Was on a flight with one of their corporate employees and they couldn't figure out how to plug a two-pronged outlet into a socket. Didn't exactly fill me with confidence.
