Car rentals can be hit and miss, but Thrifty Newcastle a definate HIT. The gents at the counter on both arrival and departure were excellent, friends guys. Super efficient and got us away quickly. No faffing about with paperwork etc. Thanks!
They say deposit back in 5-10 days but when you call they’ll tell you actually call after 14 days, so you’ll call them and they say actually it can take 28 days. You’ll complain and they’ll say oh I can actually refund it since you asked, but it’ll take another 3 days. Currently at 28 days and no return. A whole month without $200.
Avoid!! Had a car rental reservation booked , and because they are outdated and currently do not accept digital wallet drivers licenses ( which every other car company does) aswell as police and airports do, we were left in limbo ,lucky another car rental company was very helpful, the bloke who served us at thrifty was also quite rude and not helpful at all,
Disgusting
The best service! Both on pick up on the 27th Nov and drop off on the 28th. Customer service officer had the calm we needed during our chaos and was much appreciated. Mad dog knows who he is !!
