I have never had a smooth experience at this location with Hertz/Thrifty. Most recently, they charged me over $100 for fuel after I returned the car with a full tank; they make you bring keys inside and they inspect the car after you leave so you have no opportunity to make sure they're being honest. Don't rent or return cars at this location, you'll regret it.
At time of pick up of the vehicle I reported to the lady attendant the condition of the car. Dirty and strong smell of smoke. They did not offer a replacement vehicle. Time of return I spoke to the same lot attendant lady and did remind her of the condition. She remembered me from a couple days earlier. At the rental desk I told the attendant what happened and he told me I will get a discount for my trouble. Supposed to pick up a car rental there, had to change the time 1 hour later, they told me that the rates have increased and have to charge me like 60% more than the original amount. Amount. What a rip-off. They get the car more time. I get the car less time. They charge more money for less.
Terrible customer service. Waited at the counter for about 15 minutes for an attendant to show up. I told her the reservation I had and then she had to wait for her manager to call her back, which was another 15 minutes. She had a bad attitude the entire time. After my trip, I returned the keys to the same lady at the front desk and that was that. Or so I thought.
