We had an absolutely horrible experience with Thrifty car rental at the Victoria Airport. It took us 2 hours to get our rental car! Unacceptable! We waited in line for an hour before talking to a service agent, when it was finally our turn the customer service rep told us they didn't have any vehicles in the size we reserved available so he would have to create a booking through Hertz. One part of our experience was a 5 and the other part was a 1, so a 3 overall. The 5 was allowing us to exchange a huge SUV for a smaller one with no charge. The 1 was telling us if we wanted to extend our 30 day rental- just call the day before and no problem. A big problem though, as we called as directed and were told they were sold out and could not extend the contract, leaving us in a real bind. Don’t make assurances you can’t 100% honor. Will use another agency next time.

Our experience with Thrifty at Victoria International Airport was mixed. Upon pick-up, the customer service was disappointing. There was excessive pressure to upgrade the vehicle, even though we had already booked a full-size sedan. The representative seemed more focused on upselling extras—especially insurance—rather than ensuring a smooth check-in. However, the return process was a completely different experience. 40 minutes to pick up a car that was prebooked and prepaid. Won't use again.
