I rented from Thrifty at the Winnipeg Airport and it was one of the nicest rentals that I've made (and I do quite a bit a year). Helpful and friendly staff, they offered upgrade which I didn't take as I didn't need it for what my plans were, and the overall process was very simple.

They are pulling a bait and switch scam on their customers. I rented a Chrysler 300, which is a luxury vehicle and they had a jeep for me. I refused the jeep and had no choice to settle for a compact without a price reduction. No respect for customers and very poor customer service as they could care less about supplying the reserved vehicle.

The agent lied to me about aspects of my reservation and I wasn’t able to receive my car leaving me stranded on my trip. Don’t bother with this company. Use another one where the employees know their job. One star is too high of a rating.

I ordered thru Expedia and there was a deal for $38. At the counter the guy try to upsell me with a manager’s promo where they gave me an electric car for $60 and I declined it because I told him I already paid almost $400 for another rental and it’s only for one day. He said then decline the offer and before signing I said, is it the $38 car that I ordered? He said it is, when they charge my car I ended up paying 70$.
