Booked a rental for the 26th June to the 28th June. Paid in full through Expedia. Pickup was fine. On return I filled the rental as advised, and parked in the space as advised and told to drop the keys on the drop box, which we did. I arrive home and find additional charges for fuel and an extra hour of rental! I return the rental at 1:20pm, I had the rental until 3:30pm. So that makes no sense. We hired a vehicle to travel through the coastal mountains and through the Rockies from Hinton and the Jasper and Banff national parks. We went through rain and snow, warm and cold weather. The vehicle we had, a Kia Sportage, was capable enough. Check in and return of the vehicle was easy and without issue. The only disappointment was that we ordered a RAV4 and was only told at pickup that one was not available.

Thrifty forged my initials on the pre-inspection report and tried to blame me for pre-existing damage I reported immediately with photos. The report was created after I documented the damage, wasn’t signed by me, and used blurry preinspection photos. This isn’t just bad service—it’s dishonest and greasy. They offered me a one time offer of settling for $1120 which I declined. Avoid Thrifty, pay the extra $10 for Enterprise and save yourself a headache!
