If picking up rental at the airport after your flight, be prepared to wait a good hour or more in line - even if you did pre check in or preregistration before hand. My flight landed at 1pm and there were only 2 people working the counter. The vehicle also smelled like weed and had rolling papers all over the front. Would never rent from again.
2 hours wasted standing in line, haggling with manager who told me my credit cards were bad/ blocked, when it was their machine which was faulty- stressful for someone who has just landed in a foreign city. Next time, I will not be thrifty!
I know sometime things got wrong when traveling, but my experience was totally positive at the FLL Thrifty Rent-A-Car. I booked through Expedia and got a super low rate. I waited maybe 20 minutes in line at the pick-up counter, and the person at the counter was efficient and sufficiently friendly. The car was fine, with a full tank and clean. Great experience with Thrifty. My last experience with Priceless rental company was terrible.
This location advertises "Skip the counter" but that is a lie. Had to wait in line for an hour after both paying and checking in online in advance. The car I was given had only half a tank of gas, but didn't realize until I pulled out of garage, so had to fill on return to avoid $11/gallon fee. Some minor mechanical issues during rental. Would NOT rent there again.
