I would give zero stars if I could. They quote you these super low rates on the website. They charge you that rate initially and then they scam the hell out of you after returning the car. They tell you charges will be a returnable deposit and they will charge you the deposit and then some. I was quoted $139 and they charged an additional $612!!! Scam artist doesn’t begin to describe it. And their customer service is shit. They do what they can for you to not be able to speak to a human being
First it was not busy on July 4th , 2025 when we arrived. No one in line and 3 employees helping others. So not a wait. But when called to the counter by a middle aged lady, I was asked for license and credit card. I pulled out the license and reached out to hand it and she refused to take it. When I booked my reservation I specifically selected the “Standard” vehicle class. Even on my confirmation email it says “ STANDARD D Kia K5 Or Similar” other vehicles in this class should include the size of a Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, etc. However, upon arrival, the clerk said I had a reservation for a “mid-sized” sedan, even then, I thought to myself “fine, it’s not worth the trouble if this is what he is saying” because a mid-size would be the size of a VW Jetta, Nissan Sentra, etc. When I went to get the car I saw he... read more
It makes zero sense to close at midnight. What happens if your flight is delayed. Terrible.
I used this Thrifty location earlier this month when I needed to make a quick trip to Fort Lauderdale. I saw the bad reviews, but figured I’d take the gamble. If worst came to worst, with extra charges, I figured the rental would just cost me what it would somewhere else, like Hertz. Before I arrived, I went to pick my car and got a message that an economy car wasn’t available. “Here we go…” I thought, but I was wrong.
