Advice: Don’t rent there or don’t go for the lower price, because it won’t exist once you go to pick up the car. I had specifically requested not to rent an electric car from Thrifty. But they claimed they couldn’t find that information, and I was forced to pay an extra $234 for a gas-powered car. I even showed them the paperwork, but they dismissed it, saying it wasn’t valid. I made a reservation for a midsize SUV and i received a small SUV because the first SUV smell a cigarette, the agent change the cafor a small car than i reserved and he did not gave a discount for the downgrade.
Rental charge was $160 and paid $266 in extra vehicle coverage fees . The car was dirty in the inside when we received. Steer clear of this company. They did not inform us that the rates we were quoted was the daily rate, not the total rate. They try to rush you through the process so you don’t ask questions.
Firstly, for ppl who panic about the location: The thrifty counter is also located in the Terminal A&B main car rental hub. It’s somehow wrongly positioned in the Google maps as though it’s located in the satellite terminal.! I also read through several reviews before picking up the rental and was also skeptical.. After waiting in a long line at the airport counter with some very grumpy customer service reps, my card was charged then their system went down after the charge was authorized. They reran my card when their system came back up. I showed them the double charge and the representative told me she was sorry but they needed to do it and I needed to fight it with my bank.
