I chose Thorncliffe Place Retirement Home for my Mom because the minute I walked in, it was very clear that this was a warm and welcoming place and that mom would be part of a big family. I have never seen so much care and compassion for my Mom and all the residents. My sister and I never worry because we know my mom is being well cared for. I would likecl to express my appreciation and gratitude to all Thorncliffe staff. The month I spent recouping after knee surgery was a delightful experience. The professional and kind treatment by staff, specifically personal care workers, nursing, kitchen, maintenance and administration was definitely detrimental to my recovery. Ah, I have only been pleasantly surprised by Thorncliffe. The staff, as anywhere, make, or break a business. Thorncliffe seems to have the well perfected ability to hire very good people. Employees care, really care, and show genuine compassion for the residents, and their families. I am at Thorncliffe daily visiting my mom, I have never witnessed an unkind word, or action. Great, caring people, and a lovely place to be. Thorncliffe has that "second family" feeling, which a lot of the residents love.
