So I've been with Third Federal Savings & Loan for close to 30 years on various home mortgages and I tried to get a forbearance. I have ALWAYS made my payments on time. But with the stay-at -home order and me losing my all work as a self employed person I cannot make payments until things get better. BUT Third Federal Savings & Loan said "..oh we'll defer your payments thru June BUT April, May, June & July payments will be due in July! What!!! Why can't they just tack it on to the end of the loan? How the heck am I supposed ... read more
With over 100K in home equity they declined a HELOC for 40K due to high revolving credit card balances even though my stated purpose of the loan was for debt consolidation. Debt consolidation is one of the primary advertised purposes of their product yet they seem unwilling to offer credit for this purpose. I can not recommend this organization and will never do business with them in the future.
