Beware of a bait and switch. Prior to arriving, we negotiated a maximum $6 a board foot for white oak. Once I arrived, the price increased to $9 a board foot. And when I brought the lumber home, I found out a significant amount of it was red oak (the lumber was initially rough so it was impossible to see the end grain).
