Beautiful performance and story
I’ve been a student at Truthful Acting for three years, and it was such a pleasure to finally see my first Theater On The Edge production! Birds of North America was a truly beautiful show. As someone who works at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and sees a lot of incredible work, I can wholeheartedly say this production belongs right alongside them. Congratulations and much love to the entire team for creating something so special!
Theater on the Edge does magical work. Their black box venue provides an intimate theatrical experience. The acting is poignant, the set design is immersive, and the direction brings interesting works to life. You feel the craftsmanship. These people love their art, and their work is a gift to the community.
Theatre on the Edge is a unique experience with its tiny personal space and sound-stage-like setting. The Bird theme carries through even to the bathroom which is clean and makes you feel like you are in a friend's home. The play is one that deals with emotional life events that struck home with various members of our party and the actors fully embody those emotions, especially Elaitheia Quinn, who has a very real-feeling melt down that has tears not only on her face also on many of the audience. Finally enjoyed the beautiful and emotionally disruptive performance of Bird’s of North America. Makes you sit with your experiences and realize that opening up alone is not the only necessity in connecting. Thank you for the reminder to go outward and be available for those around me.
