This facility was supposed to be a temporary stop while my family member is awaiting a long term care home. The staff have been ignorant, lack care needs, speaking to them feels as if we are an “inconvenience”. My family member was sent back to the KGH and now they are unable to locate any of his personal belongings, which should have been sent with him to begin with. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My grandma was sent there a month before she passed from KGH. The amount of times we walked into her scream crying in her room (which was closet sized space of the side of another gentlemen’s room) was insane. Thankfully she got moved to providence care where she passed with more comfort. We watched her decline quickly here. Staff can never be reached, their voicemail says 24 hours but we never got a call back. Wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy.
Take your loved ones to a different place! The retirement home is severely understaffed & the residents are not treated as well as they should be! The care for the elderly residents is heartbreaking
This place is filthy, not designed for people in wheel chairs (why on earth are the handicap levers 12 feet away from the door? They end up closing on the residents), the food is unacceptable, the staff does not follow recommendations made by medical professionals such as doctors, the staff speak in their own language RIGHT in front of the patients, staff other than nurses do not seem to know basic fist aid. My father has begged to see the management of this place, I have called, and no one will take responsibility for this ... read more
