I would not recommend this facility based of the experience with my fathers care. Unfortunately, it has felt like primary focus is on billing rather then patient well-being. When insurance issues arose, there was little to no guidance or assistance offered. Instead of trying to help us navigate the situation, we were left trying to resolve on our own during an already extremely stressful time. My mom came to The Willows in November when we were no longer able to care for her at home. The staff gave her 11 weeks of amazing care and helped her to die comfortably and with dignity. During the short time we were there we were so pleased with every aspect of her care, the facility itself, activities, and most importantly the staff. Just wanted to share our great experience at the Willows in Tiffin. My husband was at Saint Vincent in Toledo for 10 days and then was transferred to another facility which we were disappointed in and then he came to the Willows. What a difference he was there from January 9 until February 20. The personnel was extraordinarily wonderful, they treated him with respect and really tried to get him back on his feet as soon as possible. You said you couldn’t ethically charge Medicare any longer for my mom to stay after a knee replacement she was there about 4 weeks so even after her telling you that she was not ready to go home we told you we didn’t want her going home yet (she’s 79 and lives alone) she has been home 2 weeks has fallen twice had to call 911 both times busted her forehead and nose but you can ethically send her home?? I have had the pleasure of staying at The Willows of Tiffin on 3 different occasions and the staff provided great care on each of my visits. The facility was always very neat and clean, the nurses (Cheryl, Tara, Kaydence) to mention a few and all medical assistants were great plus I never had a bad meal during any of my stays. I also would like to praise the physical therapy staff, Jessica, Wendy and Kara, for getting me going again.
