After a flooding at another retirement home last year, my brother was suddenly in immediate need of a new residence. There are several in our city of London to choose from so it was a task to find one that met all of his needs. Tour after tour of places that just didnt click all of the boxes. Feb 27-Mar 11 I have written this review several times because I am so angry at the treatment my sister received from the Administration while at Waverly. My sister had a 13 day stay for respite care while her home was being readied for sale. She had spoken to the Administration on a few occasions prior to her stay and had a 2 hour assessment at Waverly the Monday before she arrived on Thursday. My sister has Primary Progressive MS. She has lost the use of her left arm, it has affected her speech and walking is very difficul... read more
Amazing environment and very respectful staff with everyone. Completed my placement there and learnt so many great things from them.
The writer has family living at Waverley for a few years. While it is agreed that it is indeed a stately historic building, it is in dire need of attention and updating, if not upgrading that are both long overdue. Individual residents have reported thefts/missing items of their personal property. There is a "ramp" at the back entrance way for those in wheelchairs, but it is made of wood and not stained wood, it's turned gray and appears neglected and weather-beaten.
