I was trying to facilitate a conversation between this office and my son who is in Walton County Jail. He was assigned this law group by the Walton County Public Defenders office. I called on 9/22 and told the receptionist/paralegal that my son has a preliminary hearing on 10/1. She said if my son doesn’t see or hear from the attorney before the 1st that he should plead not guilty and before the next hearing, she would gather discovery evidence for the hearing. This is a last stitch effort in gettin what I deserve. I hired Attorney/County Commissioner Sherri Washington in May 2019. She promised she could do all this work to help me in my child support case. Things like lower the amount, get my child’s name changed and other things. The child support was lowered by $98. Not to mention, it took her over 1 year to get that done. I experienced a poor level of communication from Attorney Washington. Nothing has been accomplished or finalized on an accident case I started with her February 2016. I am disappointed, to say the least. I am shocked at her lack of professionalism.
