A special thank you to Windy, LPN, whose kindness and genuine love for the people she cares for shines so brightly. She advocates fiercely, cares deeply, and treats residents with so much dignity and compassion. Hillside is filled with people who truly have a heart for this work, and it makes such a difference for residents and families alike.
The perfect apartment for me was available right when I needed it! The sun shone brightly in January on the brand new floors and freshly painted walls. When I bravely moved in alone on the first day, two people with the same names as my sisters showed up with the wardrobe trolley to help! Hillside quickly becomes home and your neighbors become close friends. I have experienced phenomenal care for my husband and myself during his illness. Though I’m a widow now, I’ve never felt alone or lacking support. I love my home and the Me I’m coming to know as I get more involved in Hillside’s committees and activities.
Hillside is a welcoming community. The people who have chosen to live here are have lived interesting lives. So conversations tend to be lively. I like that this is a small community, which makes it easy to feel connected to nearly everyone and there are plenty of activities to keep people engaged. The menus are varied and the food is an 8 out of 10, and seems to be improving.
