I used to be a client but no more. Over the years I have taken very high end clothes, like Joseph Riboff, to the owner only to be paid very little for these clothes. She won't pay you any $ for sold clothes, unless the amount is over $35.00 or so. Can you imagine how much $ she keeps for herself because of this policy. I asked for my money owed, which she gave me grudgingly and then gave me a piece of paper saying my account was now closed!! There are about 3 ladies' consignment stores in Duncan, which I now go to.

I have lost a lot of weight so I tried to take in some excellent clothing for consignment. Most items I had never even worn and still had sales tags on them. They refused to take them unless I had them dry cleaned or washed knowing they were brand new. I left with all my clothes. If you want to HELP THE LOCAL WOMEN'S SHELTER, take your clothes to the Ladysmith Resource Centre on 2nd Ave., and they will get those clothes to the shelters, both for women and men.
