We spent two nights at the Tempus. Our room was comfortable and spacious . The hotel decor was a feast for the eyes. The food was absolutely delicious. Staff fantastic. Downside, too many dogs!
We recently stayed at The Tempus and found the area to be amazingly beautiful. We took a chance with the weather and got lucky when we walked in the different castles and gardens in the area. The Tempus is perfect for this. We found the hotel Resturant to a bit on the pricey side and limited in selection so we only eat there one night. Beautiful location, comfortable room, friendly staff and great food. However service was very very slow at bar and restaurant. Prices are premium so didn't represent good value for money. We informed the staff it was our tenth anniversary but not made to feel special at all. Bit disappointing as was expecting more.
We booked a Pole Barn King room for two nights at the beginning of our holiday. I would definitely question the "king" sized bed, especially in comparison to other places where we stayed. It was comfortable, but not as wide was I had anticipated. The bath was large, with a walk in shower. There were plenty of large bath towels as well as hand towels. No washcloths.
