We went through some financial trouble and switched here from m&t Bank and have never looked back. Having been in a previous credit union, we knew the advantages and have found them to carry over to Summit. Everyone is always helpful and friendly. I can't think of any issues that I've ever had in general, and if we did it is probably because they were minor and quickly solved.
DO NOT BANK WITH SUMMIT. Customer service has never been worse; they outsource all calls internationally and you are quite literally never speaking with someone who is intellegent and willing to help. I requested new credit/debit cards, and the staff was so unintelligent and useless that they mistakenly cancelled both my current cards. There is a 30-day notice to get new cards, so I'm now left without them thanks to the sheer ineptitude this horrendous bank boasts. I'm switching to another bank first thing tomorrow. Genuinely really annoying to set up an appointment and not get told what the required documentation would be to do what you need to do with your account.
