My family and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Skilled Nursing Unit at The Stayton in Fort Worth. From the moment my dad was admitted, we knew he was in the best hands. Assisted living limited in care and is unorganized. Memory Care has everyone on hospice and bed bound. Much better options up the street.
After his stroke in November, my father spent about a month on The Stayton's skilled nursing floor. I'll start with what we liked: the facility is clean and very well maintained. The quality of the food was good. The staff were caring and attentive. What we did not like: the over-medication. My father wasn't ready for agressive in-patient rehab, so we ended up in temporary skilled nursing at the Stayton.
