First, driver is very rude, be prepared! Next, make sure you bring exact change for ride, because it's not offered.

Waited for over an hour in the rain at the hospital for the bus to come, but it never did. Walked further to a few stops later and the same, the bus never arrived. The stops had the times the buses were supposed to come, but they never came. I’m so glad I planned on using the bus when I planned my trip here! I completely understand it’s a small town, but is it really that hard to put a sign up or update the website saying “no service”? I guess so.

Amazing public transportation. Very clean and safe. The drivers are great. Have exact change or get a punchcard/pass at the bookstore. It made my trip so much better. I was really able to explore the entire town without a car thanks to the RIDE!

Excellent public transit for being a small town. My girlfriend and I went on a backpacking trip and stopped in Sitka for a few days. We didn't rent a car and we were easily able to get around Sitka using The Ride and by walking. Helpful drivers, convenient routes and clean buses (shuttles? vans? whatever they are)
