My Mom started living there about a year ago. Even though she already had Dementia, it became clear they do not have the proper training and shouldn't be taking anyone with extra needs. It is probably a good place for someone who can live Independently. As it is an Independent living home. I'm not sure why she was allowed to stay there, they also don't have a secure floor. My stay at The Richmond respite room was excellent. The food was delicious. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. It made getting over an operation very easy.
I've become very familiar with The Richmond Retirement Residence over the past 18 months that my Mother has lived there. The level of care varies with the level needed by the resident. Independent living is the goal but assistance is offered on many levels. The employees from the food servers to the room cleaners and office staff are all friendly and attentive to needs.
