My father has been at the Retreat at Berryville for a year, and I find the staff fabulous. My father is happy, he is treated well and I trust everyone to make sure he’s taken care of.

Dad passed away in March. He had a credit of approx $1600 which the Retreat has still not paid (today is June 24th). Not what you would expect from a well run and ethical business.

Still haunts me the horrible care they gave my mother. The lack of knowledge and compassion. The lack of accountability when something went wrong and no interest in finding a solution. Lots of lip service but no real attempt to improve. I witnessed so much bad care and abuse. Never a day that I left my mother alone because I had so little trust. So many things wrong. I had hoped that time would ease the pain but it hasn’t. Do your own research before thinking about putting a loved one in the Memory Unit at The Retreat.

Thank you for your excellent care and compassion toward my elderly Aunt during the last years of her life. The personal care, activities and facilities keep her happy during her final years.

Definitely can find better. Very unprofessional staff. Employees smoking vapes inside, always on their cell phone and even came across one employee asleep in a model room. Very disrespectful of tenants and their family. Please look further, and don't put your family in this facility!!
