I had an amazing experience at The Pottery Place in Albany, NY! This charming studio offers a fantastic selection of pre-made pottery to paint, along with helpful guidance for beginners. The atmosphere was so relaxing, and the studio was clean and well-organized. I loved that I could take my time painting my piece, the turn around time for firing and glazing was quite quick—my finished mug turned out even better than I imagined

Had a great time with work friends. Wait time on Saturday at 2pm was about 20 mins. Usually extremely crowded with a line on weekends. Weekday 11am only one table occupied. Everyone needs to be there to be seated, so plan accordingly :) paint selections were great. Experience starts with a run down tutorial of what to expect. Employees really knew how to help and provide advice on what to do to fix certain issues such as chalking and different techniques. In early December, we visited to create four mugs. The following weekend, I returned with my child so he could make another piece, and I picked up the mugs at the same time. Upon bringing the mugs home, I discovered that one was not fully glazed, with three areas of exposed raw material, including a large section inside the mug.
