Kate was extremely professional & attentive right from the start. She listened carefully to what I wanted, creating the design & sourcing the material which couldn’t be found in the UK & had to come from Spain. She drafted her own pattern, created a toile for accurate fitting & even washed the material prior to cutting out as it is prone to shrinking. The party frock captured my vision and turned it into something I thought only dreams were made of. It was the dress I always wanted and more. She is super friendly and very talented. It was a very reasonable price compared to shop bought dresses with added amendments as as I couldn't find my colour anywhere. She designed the corset with crystals and over 10 years later I hold this dress.
I've never been much of a "traditional" girl. When my other half proposed in 2017, I knew I needed to find the dress that didn't look like my head on someone else's body. I went to a wedding fayre at Forest Pines that Kate was attending and spotted a stunning black and silver dress she'd created. That was it. Appointment booked and Kate helped me bring my version of this dress to existence. I got to be an Emo princess for the day April 13th 2019. Kate you are my absolute hero for this!
I had the absolute honour of having Kate not only make my wedding dress, but my bridesmaid & flower girl frocks and the ties for the guys! Kate even custom dyed the fabric for my dress and it was the most perfect shade of green. I could not have asked for a better experience seeing our ideas come to life and 11 years later I still adore how amazing we all looked thanks to her.
I first met Kate (The Party Frock) when I attended her sewing classes 'Sewing with The Party Frock'. She was the first person I thought of for my 'Mother of the Groom' outfit. I find it really difficult to find off-the-peg clothing that fits and if I had gone down this route, I'd have had to have my outfit adjusted to fit.
