Me Martin is wonderful to work with. I live inJonesboro, Arkansas and could find no one up hear willing to refinish my 6 dining room chairs from the 1960’s After much searching I got his name. I called him and sent him a picture of my chairs. He did a terrific job on them. He also told me about an upholster and even delivered my chairs to him to save me an additional trip to Memphis. I will be using him for all my refinishing needs and highly recommend him and his excellent work Janet Buring

Dylan was very kind, professional, and did amazing work. We will definitely call him for our antique restoration needs in the future. If we could give him 11 stars, we would.

Dylan Martin at the Painted Door did a fantastic job repairing an antique chest for me (and he was able to turn it around in just a few days, it needed to get on a moving truck). The chest had been repaired before, but Dylan's work was far superior in quality to the prior work done. And Dylan even repaired part of the chest we did not know needed work, all included as part of his original quote. I would trust Dylan with any antique, and I look forward to commissioning him to make some end tables for us this winter.

It seems like many people liked Dylan. He was very personable when I talked to him beginning on October 10, 2020. Today is March 6, 2021. I really can’t say why he would not do the work he said he would do after we agreed on a price. I called him in December and again in January but he never called me to set up a time. Only one time about 15 years ago I posted a negative a negative review it is not my nature. I really wanted my table and my chairs renovated and I will either find some one or buy new furniture. I am disappoin... read more
