Warning, small shop, with one exit, run by a volatile man with lots of knives! While shopping one morning, my kids and I were abruptly kicked out of the store. When I asked the owner why, he appeared angry about something and exclaimed "I have better things to do" than wait for you to browse. I asked if he was serious. He was. We quickly exited. I'm local, I have shopped here for years, and feel bad for the guy. But, we can't ever shop here again. Old dude with a chip on his shoulder and a bunch of knives seems unsafe.

Went into the store seeking advice for some fly fishing in the area and the man working there was not only NOT friendly but quite rude. Maybe Winthrop needs a more helpful fly shop!
Definitely a one of a kind store with the gear you may need! Great knife and fly selection!
Shop owner was super cool and friendly. Had no idea on how to fish for trout in the local lakes and he was quick and knowledgeable to share some secrets on how he gets the job done and how to do certain line ties. Very helpful. Very nice guy. Loved the shop to as well as the owner. Super friendly, and he definitely helped me and my girlfriend catch a ton of trout. God bless him.
