Wonderful old hotel, down a side street in bustling friendly Totnes. We didn't stay here, but the service was second to non and everything was spotlessly clean so I guess staying here would be lovely. We came for a drink and a cuppa and was served by the owner Julie, who was super charming and friendly and made us feel so welcome. The room was clean and lovely, with a great shower. The mattress too soft for my liking. We originally booked the “cozy” twin room, which turned out to be tiny, so we upgraded to the room we stayed in for three nights. The garden is pretty. Breakfast is served beautifully in a nice breakfast room and conservatory, and had a nice variety of items on the menu. A wonderful place to stay in Totnes — absolutely recommended! The Old Forge is within walking distance of the charming town, so you can easily reach all the sights, shops, and cafés while still enjoying a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Just back from beautiful Totnes.The Old Forge was such a find.Very near the town and river but tucked away and so peaceful. The room was beautiful with a view over the beautiful country garden so in keeping with the beautiful building.Breakfast was really good which we ate in the lovely conservatory.Hosts were so lovely.Would definitely go back 😃
