I had the same bad experience twice. The finish on a high priced bed was terrible. So I returned it. I was told the local manufacturer had new people so quality has suffered. Over two years later I bought another bed. Same thing. Very sloppy job on the staining and varnishing. I did a better job in wood shop in junior high school. Don't trust the displays. What you get is not the same.
