Over the past couple of years, my Mother has had two respite stays and is now a resident in the memory care section of the Oaks at Belmont. My family and I continue to be very pleased with the care and comfort provided by the staff. They make extra effort to keep us informed, to assist with resolution of any issues, and to provide her with reassurance during her difficult moments. I had a family member who was recently in this facility due to suddenly becoming incredibly sick. They have been barely eating, speaking, and it is painful to sit for long periods of time. While looking at charting, nurses were putting down that they were eating at least 80% of their meals, when they were only having a few small bites and barely drinking. Our family has mixed feelings about our experience with this facility. On one hand, the clinical staff were okay. Following a stroke, our family member needed careful attention to transition back toward the next phase of care, and the nursing team consistently provided compassionate, patient-centered care.
