My mom lives in the Oaks of Algonquin. Just recently, a new food plan was implemented that requires the residents to pay $400/month for one mandatory meal a day. A MANDATORY meal in independent living. That would be somewhat acceptable if the food met with the dietary restrictions of the residents. Or if the meals made sense. We were looking for an assisted living facility for my grandma to live in while she lived in Del Webb and my mom found this really nice facility right here. My grandma has been living here for about a year now and she really like her apartment there! They are very good at taking care of the people who live here! The nurses, caregivers, front desk and restaurant servers are awesome. This review is for their management and accounting staff. Those individuals are absolutely horrible. The most unprofessional group of people I’ve ever interacted with. Management will make a commitment to you and then not deliver. They will do this multiple times to you.
