I was recommended The New Wheel by a friend and I fully understand why. First of all, the New Wheel is locally owned and I love that. I bought my bike directly from one of the Owners, Brett. They had the tools to measure me and make sure I was buying the perfect bike for me. Then when there was a delay in the shipping of my bike from the distributor, they communicated perfectly. These guys did a stellar job assembling my electric trike. They were all friendly, professional, knowledgable, skilled and generous with their time and with their pricing. The bike seems to be solidly assembled.They communicated their concerns about safety (I'm an old guy) and gave me excellent tips on riding this strange machine. I am extremely satisfied with their service.
They are the best bike shop and maintenance service! I bought my first ebike from them in 2017, and it's still running smoothly today, thanks to their incredible care. And the new bike I just purchased at their Oakland location is a fabulous upgrade! Can't wait to charge up those hills without breaking a sweat. Thanks, New Wheel Team!
Everyone was great in the whole process. From Kansas being patient with our 1,000 questions, to Jacob (I think was his name) sharing a lot of details, to Edward on the first test drive and super meticulous with details, support and tips. Great experience overall!
Jacob who serviced my bike was so kind, professional, welcoming and communicative. I have been to a lot of bike shops, and this might be the best service experience I've ever had. The New Wheel is great for learning, test rides, e-bikes, etc., but today I learned that they are my favorite shop in the East Bay to get bikes serviced at (probably for analog bikes too!).
