Was walking to lunch and I was approached by canvassers on Northalsted. Im all for protecting nature but giving me fake compliments and pigeon holing me into a monthly donation is predatory and I'm not excited about figuring out how to cancel my membership. I would have donated because I care about nature and conservation. My good will was taken advantage of and my giving now feels bad instead of doing something I would have given by default.
Can't walk 10 feet in Lakeview without being accosted by one of their canvassers. "Are you friendly?" is their opening line. Please just let me walk home.
My son and I were visiting Chicago this past weekend and were approached by canvassers from this organization. A man ran up to us, and we tried to continue walking but were then approached by 2 young women. We did not know that they were working together or we wouldn’t have stopped. Please don't ever fall for the Chicago Ridge mall Kiosks for the Nature Conservancy, they will scam you and the way they try to get people to join their program is really gross. I've been harassed by the workers there and they chase you down and don't take no for an answer. I can understand needing donations but this is so unprofessional. I've also heard one of the guys there comment on women's bodies to try to "compliment" them but it's just harassment. He was making comments on their behinds and bodies and saying he "would... read more
I want to report a disturbing interaction involving an individual (black person with beads) working at Schaumburg Mall who identified himself as representing The Nature Conservancy. While on duty, he made comments and engaged in behavior that appeared to suggest solicitation of illegal substances. This was highly inappropriate, unprofessional, and concerning, especially in a public retail environment. Regardless of intent, this conduct reflects poorly on any organization associated with it and should be investigated.
The Nature Conservancy has a 3.2 star rating with 36 reviews.
The Nature Conservancy is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
