Very nice place
Loved visiting today. I believe our tour guide’s name was Joan and she was so knowledgeable on every part of Edith’s life and the property. It was one of the best tours I’ve been on and I have been on a lot of tours to different museums. We walked around and looked at the sculptures afterwards and that was fun as well. Definitely worth visiting! I wish we stayed for the outside tour because the first one was so good. The teacher discount was very nice as well. $20 total for myself and my boyfriend.
What a treasure! We only had time to explore the gardens and sculpture park but it was so lovely there. We are looking forward to next trip when we can take a tour of the mansion. It’s so wonderful to be able to tour the gardens for free. It reminded me of my love for Edith Wharton books in my younger years and made me want to re-immerse in them.
Loved everything about it. The surroundings; the villa; the formal gardens; Bob, the tour guide. I learned a lot about Edith Wharton and it made me want to read her books. I especially loved the symmetry she created in building The Mount.
