The Mooring has so much potential, some lovely people, beautiful facility, and great concept, but it has been heartbreaking to see the amount of incredible staff let go of and quit. The turnover (due to poor management and ownership, would be my guess) has resulted in multiple missed and fumbled doctors appointments, constant communication snafus, and cuts to important programming, from health to recreation. The management and maintenance teams go above and beyond. Every interaction I’ve had has been kind, professional, and prompt, they genuinely care about the residents and the community.
worked here for less than a month, and even in that short time I saw so many things that broke my heart. The training was almost nonexistent only about an hour before being left on my own. I was asked to work overnights and doubles while 25 weeks pregnant, with no care or concern for my health. Staff often spoke to each other harshly, and management turned a blind eye.
