My commitment to making the legal system work for everyone predates my career as a lawyer. Prior to attending law school, I worked as a policy analyst at a leading Washington, D.C. think tank, studying the impact of changes to the welfare system on its recipients. While a student at Northwestern University School of Law, I helped low-income Chicagoans in danger of losing their homes to predatory lending practices.
