As a former employee I know they used to get chicken from Sysco or a local chicken distributor hillbilly pride and label it as free range and no growth hormones...I hope they have changed their policy but definitely ask for verification before spending the extra money. The steaks, ground beef, seafood, and pork products were the real deal as far as I knew back then...just be cautious with the poultry!
This is the most overpriced place to buy anything. Most of what they sell can be purchased at Kroger, Food City or Wal-Mart for around half the price. A few examples of the exact same product by the same manufacturer. Kroger price verses their price Capers $2.29 TP $4.99, Bobs Red Mill Semolina flour Wal-Mart $3.29 TP $4.99, Cholula Hot Sauce 5.0 oz. Kroger $2.99 TP $5.99 twice the price. A little pricey but great products.
Best place for fresh meat and produce. Staff is always very helpful.
Excellent food and a great butcher and selections.
