All the residents are amazing and all of the staff are amazing!! The DOC there is outstanding she is very caring and professional. The executive director Joan H is not a very nice person and doesn’t treat staff fair at all. She isn’t a people person and her approach isn’t very nice. As a front line worker there I felt unappreciated by Joan H and bullied by her.

The staff is what makes the Maples such a great place in my opinion. Nurses, PSW’s, activities staff, social worker, maintenance, cleaning, kitchen, and those that I am forgetting to mention. The building is always very clean and welcoming. The staff are always happy to help or answer the many questions I have. All of the above mentioned staff have interacted in some way with my family member staying there, and all have done so with kindness and a smile. I know that my family member is very well looked after and safe.

My mother was here from May 2015 till Feb.4 2018 . The employees here are 2nd to none .They treated my mother as if she were their own.Just can't say enough good things about the Maples Tavistock .
