My mother has been at the Topton Lutheran Home in the memory care unit since December 2023. She has received wonderful care and treatment since day one. The staff is amazing and so caring with the residents. Everyday the residents have fun activities to do, they create wonderful art, bake treats, have special parties to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, have picnics and themed parties. Very nice facility, very nice staff. Food needs work.
I have been very pleased with my care here. The staff have proven to be attentive, able to anticipate my needs, and always prompt and courteous. The facility has exceeded my expectations in providing the staff and volunteers committed to my well-being. My room is clean, comfortable, and quiet. Meals offer a varied menu, portions are generous and served by pleasant personnel. What a godawful place. The kitchen manager is awful to fellow employees- ridicules and bullies them. What a toxic environment- makes you wonder what the quality and standard of care is across the board if this is how management is allowed to act at this facility.
My Mother moved in two years ago, she loves it! She stays busy with activities and games with other residents. Any issue she has had questions about, were resolved quickly and efficiently. Everyone she has met from Diakon, from even before she moved in has been very helpful and easy to work with. She is Happy! That makes me Happy too! Thank you Diakon team for doing more than you said you would. I'm very impressed ! ! !
