SO GOOD A visit to The Lost Spring is an absolute must if you’re in the area. The geothermal pools vary in temperature, typically ranging from around 32°C to 41°C, so you can choose the perfect spot to relax. It’s a tranquil, calming environment and exactly what we needed after a long day of driving. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery that makes it feel like a hidden oasis. Wow. Ok, a lot of people in the "pool" but it was a long weekend and close to Auckland. We chose the Combo deal of a 2 hour dip, a platter and a cocktail. The platter was awesome. The staff extremely friendly and helpful especially Lilly. The owner even pops up and gives advice of the best way to enjoy your time. Will certainly be back.
A big birthday treat adventure for Daughter from Perth. WOW, what a fantastic experience, we booked a time and were there for 2 hours. You get timed wrist bands. We started at the top the hottest spring and came down through the grottos and pools enjoying every moment so relaxing and very scenic with wonderful plants and flowering shrubs etc. the management was very efficient and facilities clean and fresh. It was our first time visiting and we really enjoyed the overall experience. We chose the Romantic Retreat package and went on a Thursday in late summer, which meant it wasn’t too busy. There were other guests, but they were well spread out throughout the day so it never felt crowded. Food was fantastic. Pools pleasant. Service not so great. Booked Sip, Dip and Dine. Not hugely welcoming. Been a dream for ages so disappointed. No one explained what we prepaid for for the dinning,which is embarrassing to have to ask while at the table. We were not offered a locker to rent,so saw others using lockers and put our things in one. Couldn't get our stuff out. So reception in a swim suit for us wasn't ideal.
