The room was a little small compared to modern hotels, the room was full of character and made me feel like I stepped back in history. The meals in the restaurant were wonderful. Service was great. Will definitely use the spa again.

This place has really poor management and pretty backward policies. We planned to visit the lodge tomorrow and we're very excited to go. Unfortunately there is a major snow storm coming and we have a young baby with us which makes this a pretty bad decision and very unsafe. So we called to cancel our reservation, and these folks acted like we had done something wrong and would not return the $150 reservation charge. Love
I grew up in Alamogordo, moved away in 1991, but always remember my time in the mountains. When I got married in 2007 I brought my bride to the lodge from Dallas for our week long honeymoon, we had a wonderful time in the lower cabins. I would highly recommend the lodge for anytime you want to get away for a quite peaceful getaway. The food was great at Rebecca ' also.
