Mr. Leatherman was my son, Evan’s, court appointed attorney. He only met with my son the 8 months he sat in Ellis County Jail -over 100 days more than “time served” should’ve been. My son had deep depression that was only exacerbated with the lack of communication from Mr Leatherman and the fact that Mr. Leatherman kept postponing his release.
