UPDATE - *Mr. Alper was hired by the leaseholder, who did not live with us, & who could not often attend court, so I attended court, along with another roommate, so although I was not the one who hired him, I was the one attending court on behalf of the leaseholder who hired him. Mr. Alper says the process took 2 months, but from the time he first billed to the date of eviction was four months. Horrible attorney. You are better off doing a pro se eviction (meaning evicting on your own, without an attorney). Mr. Alper waited 3 WEEKS after getting a judgment from the court before hiring a Marshal, and Mr. Alper even admitted that he waited too long. Keep in mind that Mr. Alper was hired to evict two crazy, drug-dealing squatters living with us, one of whom had a long rap sheet and was sent to Riker's Island for assaulting a security guard while living with us. I recently had the pleasure of working with Edward Alper. Edward actually took a very bad situation that I got stuck with and turned it around quickly. I was going through an eviction case in Queens, NY where my original lawyer I was dealing with didn’t show up to court twice causing my case to be dismissed after 6 months of back and forth.
