Mr. Rivera is an outstanding attorney. As a lawyer myself, when I needed legal representation I didn't hesitate to hire him and haven't regretted my choice. I've tried cases against Mr. Rivera, with him as cocounsel, and now with him in my corner. I appreciate his work ethic, attention to detail, quick and nimble mind, and his customer service are second to none. 10/5 stars. He's young, he's smart, he's tough, and he's your guy.
Was difficult to maintain contact with. Did not pursue any form of "vigorous and zealous" defense of our position. Was very 'go along to get along', which is NOT what you want in a lawyer. Lost an (in HIS words) open and shut case against a pro se litigant. Also failed to file motions in a timely manner or raise reasonable objections even i could spot during hearings. Seemed to believe the court would make a ruling without motions to do so. Cannot discourage anyone from using him enough.
I honestly can't recommend this attorney to anyone in the san luis valley area. He handled a case for me and the judge seemed to be at odds with him from day one. He gives off freshly out of law school vibes in the court room and the judges in the valley simply don't respect him like like they they do the more seasoned attorneys like Michael hartman and raymond miller.
