2 years later and $12,000 grand spent and this attorney is so terrible I can’t even get baby pictures out of this divorce! And then she up and quits and I’m left holding nothing! DO NOT USE!!! They feel they are entitled to treat you like an idiot and just steal your money!
Melanie Portas was assigned to me as an attorney. I have never met someone with such a sense of entitlement for having a law degree. She gave terrible advice without reading the documentation I provided her, acted surprised in court and cost me a case. An utter lack of preparation. The most offensive behavior is that she created a bad situation and then smugly attempted to distance herself from it, feeling disdain for the situation that she created.
