I would not even give this place one star! It has been a blessing that they would not accept my sister as she wound up at Terra Bella in Southport and then was transferred to a sister facility in NJ where she can be closer to her son. The Landings management (Justin and Wendy, in particular) told us that we needed to have the FL2 form written a certain way (I would never have even known that the diagnoses order needed to be a certain way) and then accused us of committing fraud when we had our doctor’s office make the change... read more
Words cannot express how grateful I am for all of the staff at the Landings! Anytime I had any questions, Justin or one of the many employees took the time to stop and talk with me. Every day I enter someone always greeted me with a smile and Mandi always asked how I was doing and about my mom. I have recently resigned from my position here at the Landings due to many reasons. My opinion of the place is it should be shut down and rebranded from a new company and new management! I have witnessed residents not be treated the way they should in regards to Respect, neglect, ect. I worked at the Landings of Oak Island for 2.5 years as the Life Enrichment Coordinator. I recently got married to my husband, who is in the military, requiring us to move closer to base. Because of this, my commute was too far and I needed to leave this role. While the facility was looking for a replacement, I stayed longer than my resignation notice to help with the activities and as a PCA.
