While visiting many times I have spoken to some great staff. But Ron the administrator is a very big sour puss! Not friendly at all! Have said Hi and he turns his head. What a jerk!!! Cleanliness of the patients is not kept up very well for the ones who need it. 2 showers a week is not enough! The Lakes at Jefferson has been an absolute blessing for our family. The staff consistently goes above and beyond, and the level of care and compassion they show truly sets this place apart. I would not recommend The Lakes at Jefferson based on my experience with Jonelle. The way she speaks to families is condescending, and completely unprofessional. Instead of communicating with respect or compassion, she talks down to people and creates tension where there shouldn’t be any. On top of that, she regularly demands staff do everything for her rather than working as part of the team, which affects the overall care environment. The Lakes of Jefferson is such a gem here in Mercer, PA. The property is always beautiful, clean, and well cared for, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Don’t let them fool you! All the recent 5 stars are employees and their family’s! This place has gone down hill real fast! They raised rent by level of care with no notice! Not by 2 or 3% but anywhere from 75-100+ % , no middle class family can afford that! The independent living there is great!
